About Us

I am a Christian, husband, father of two children and author. I have a master’s degree in counseling from Alabama State University and over 15 years of counseling experience. To bolster my counseling skills, I became a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia (LPC007688) and certified in Anger Management, Clinical Trauma, Professional Counselor Supervision, and Telemental Health. Continuing education is a must to stay well-informed and practice counseling professionally, proficiently, and ethically.

My life and professional experiences allow me to build relationships and serve people from various backgrounds. I am an honorably discharged U.S. Army war veteran who started working in the mental health profession as a counselor for the Department of Juvenile Justice in Georgia. After working with the Department of Juvenile Justice, I have worked as a school counselor, telehealth therapist, and private practice. 

I was born to be a counselor. I love to listen, encourage, and help others use their unique strengths (s) or gifts (s) to face challenges and live productive lives. Active listening, unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness are essential in my client's work. My preferred therapeutic approaches are person/client-centered and cognitive behavioral therapy. My goals are to gain insight into the world of the individual, to meet them where they are and place myself in their shoes, be nonjudgmental and ethical, build rapport, and create positive therapeutic relationships. The hope is an environment where the individual feels comfortable, accepted, respected, encouraged, and free to discuss any experience without reservation. We are in this together; let's start!
